My life is a constant navigation. I was born in Japan and grew up in Alabama. I lived in the U.S. for over ten years. Returning to Japan after college was a shock. I felt neither fully Japanese nor fully American.
For a long time, I felt lost in that space. I felt like I did not belong to either place.
But something shifted. I realized I can love who I am. I can love being in-between. I get the best of two worlds. I am a blend of two cultures. I do not have to choose. I am constantly growing.
This is the space where Evermugi atelier belongs.
I wanted to create a quiet space for those who feel this way. Evermugi is a space to celebrate the feeling of being both here and there. It is about finding joy in the constant journey of becoming.
I combine what I love about both cultures. I love the beauty of magnolias and the bold elegance of tsubaki. There is something magical in both worlds. I do not have to pick one.
We are always growing. We are forever in the process of becoming. Evermugi is for those who are forever blooming. We are making our own space in this world.
